Leeches are a sort of wavekin that hunts by stealth and deception, quite able to leave their beloved ponds and still waters to conceal themselves on dry land. The gills flanking their heads so closely resemble leaves, that herbivores will come and try to fill their bellies, only to discover that their own lifeblood is now filling the bellies of one or more leeches. aroma leech

The aroma leech uses much the same tactics as its cousins around the star, but it adds an additional trick. Its leafy appendages give off a sweet, flowery smell that, on occasion, attracts innocents who are seeking pretty specimens. As a result, aroma leeches are declared kill-on-sight whenever they appear. (2)
