sarcosuchus

The sarcosuchus, like many other scalekin, crouches low to the ground, and prefers to dwell near shallow bodies of water such as streams or swamps. Its wide, flat maw gapes open large enough to swallow whole a Lalafell, and its bite can be difficult to escape. (1)

However, those who wish to turn the tables on the sarcosuchus will find its meat quite edible--lean, not unlike chicken, with a faint savor of seafood. (2)

Specimens of sarcosuchus can be found as far apart as Yafaem, the Velodyna River, and Thavnair. (3)

velodyna sarcosuchus

The Velodyna sarcosuchus is named uncreatively for its choice of habitat, the Velodyna River; but it does not always remain there. On occasion, some of them will wander westward to Timmon Beck, where they will compete with--and prey upon--those who go there to draw water. (4)

This is not to say the residents of Gyr Abania to the east of the river do not return the favor. Sarcosuchus meat is oft served with mushrooms in a traditional Gyr Abanian dish. (5)
